A former navy lieutenant and player for the Chicago Blue Mens Club, Coach Rob has dedicated his life to expanding the game of rugby in Illinois and beyond. John Sheppard has been coaching the Elgin River Rats with Coach Copland since 2012. A former player for the South Side, Coach Shep is one of the true heart and souls of the team. Coach Shep is the owner of Bridge Health and Fitness Systems and an Elgin resident.
